Life loops in cycles, retreading old ground
Inevitably inwards in decreasing circles
Follow my own footsteps around and around
Life loops in cycles

A gravity well pulls in with neurotic tentacles
The orbit completes and my life is rewound
A new solstice brings the familiar obstacles

A predestined path holds me rigidly bound
While destiny mocks me I slip on the manacles
The same old conundrums but still they confound
